Vision
SNPhA Outreach Day
One of the ways I feel like I have the most impact in minority communities is when I plan, organize and tackle healthcare issues with action. I would love a day that all student chapters across the nation could dedicate their time to go out into the community by either planning fundraisers, health screenings, education services etc. Unity shows strength and powers our influence. If we all show our impact in solidarity it
Bridging the Gap with Interpretation/Translation
I would love to provide an opportunity where students can get certification for developing their language skills. Whether it's hosting a webinar series where various topics are addressed or offering exam preparation for the American Translator Association Certification Exam. ATA certification is one of the industry's most respected and recognized credentials for translators. It is also the only widely recognized measure of competence for translation in the U.S. Knowing another language opens doors to helping various minority groups. Many minority groups most common health disparity is language barriers.
Improve and Enhance CIC Reporting
I would work hard with SNPhA National Initiatives to improve CIC reporting. I want to make the process easy and simple for student chapters to utilize. This way to promote more student involvement in SURGE challenges, committee meetings and serve opportunities.
